"Luke Rettig's Strong Performance Help Trenton Win 4-0 On Tom McCarthy's Bobblehead Night"

Yesterday it was Tom McCarthy bobblehead and pork roll night at Trenton Thunder Ballpark with a fantastic turnout from the fans (5,017). Luke Rettig was on the mound for Trenton Thunder as he was looking to continue the momentum from his last outing. Luke was dominant once again going 7.0 innings 6 hits, 0 runs, 0 er, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts (W 1-0) and now a 0.64 era. The fastball/secondary pitches was nasty all game and opposing hitters had trouble.

Luke Rettig is a name to watch out for in this MLB Draft League being a left handed pitcher that can show multiple things on the mound, nothing phases him, a bull dog and loves to compete at a high level. The Trenton Thunder's offense was great also with Anthony Fontana going 2-4/2 rbis on his birthday and taking advantage of wild pitches to score. This was overall a great team win, clean baseball and a fast moving pace as Trenton Thunder improve to 22-10 on the season.

After the game I had an opportunity to interview Tarik Latchmansingh, Anthony Fontana and manager Jeff Manto.
